And it sounds really good. Warm, burning pop songs, luscious harmony in vocals, beautiful arrangements with an airy and solid sound.

Low Season Combo is the perfect soundtrack to the Swedish, cosy indiepop-summer, just as evident as the most beautiful August night. Low Season Combo is a brightly shining star on the musical sky.”

I must admit…. It took me a while. But the more I listen to this record the more convinced I get that Fredrik and his fellow band mates has made the best record ever released by a band from this town.
It is filled with pearls. Glimmering melodies, wonderful melodies, beautiful harmonies and a whole lot of the energy this guitar band is so good at transferring while playing live.
The great single track “Crows and ravens grouped in clusters” is there of course but my favorites are the bouncing “City without a skyline”, the beautiful “Renegade”
and the wonderful “Molars and fangs”.
I’m moved by the thought of how much love there must be behind these songs.
I see such a dedicated band with passionate musicians that keep on doing what they love despite the fact that they have not yet reached the top level of recognition that they deserve in Sweden. Maybe it’s time now?
They are a bit older and a bit wiser and you can tell from listening to the album.
Sure you can hear that they must love bands like “The Posies” but they still manage to do something authentic from their influences, something that is their own.
They sound ready. This band has never been better!

My summer job started last week. So now I’m a fish stinking working-girl and it’s as fun as it sounds. That is why the arrival of Low Season combo’s debut album is so welcome.
It makes me forget all about my crappy job. “Not afraid of heights” makes me forget about my grumpy boss and “Step on it” takes my mind off the bad pay. Just as good music is intended to do! To make you think and hope for better times and to move on. Life sucks but only sometimes.
Even though I’m not too happy about categorizing music, I will make an attempt to describe the music on “Low Season Combo”. Plain and easy, it’s piano, drums, bass, guitar and a damn good voice. In addition to that I would label it “alternative, pop/rock”, even though it is not fair to minimize their music to just one phrase.
Low Season Combo is doing something exciting on their debut album. Something extraordinary. All parts fit. The music, the voice and the lyrics. The three elements that I go by while passing judgments on music. All of them work wonderfully.
This is great! Summer, spring, winter and fall, all at once! It’s happy and it’s sad in a good intertwined way.
Extra credits for having a “Torben” in the band. I like the name “Torben”.
