12/6(WED) HIROSHIMA CAVE-BE
We arrived in Hiroshima in the afternoon. Hiroshima is a very pretty city and reminds us all of our home town. Melbourne and Hiroshima both have trams and many rivers. The main street is decorated in beautiful christmas lights, we took some nice photos with totos there. We checked into our hotel, our beds are super comfy again like Melbourne!
Hiroshima is Kenji from Totos' home town so we went to dinner with his mum at a great Japanese restaurant. The food was oishii, we eat many tradition japanese foods. It was the first time the Wellingtons tried Sushi in japan!
After dinner we went back to the hotel and had a little party in Totos' room as we hada night off with a live house performance. We all dressed up in our Yukata's and danced around listning to great music. It was lots of fun!
On Wednesday we went to visit the peace park and the a-bomb museum both are enjoyable and give us a good feeling for the cities history. Later we went had italian food at Kenji's favourite restaurant Marios. It was metcha metcha oishii!!
Later we went to sound check at the live house called Cave Be, one of the coolest venues we have seen in Japan so far. After soundcheck we had Mos Burger for dinner.
We went back to Cave Be and watched the support bands, we love Totos and we will miss them when we go back to Australia.
The gigs was excellent, the crowd were very friendly and did lots of dancing and clapping. We even had one guy on someone's shoulders! Totos and Side Aqcel sang photograph with us.
After the gig we had a big party at a Japanese restaurant. We had about 50 people there, it was so much fun, we got to hang out and get to know the other bands better, all the people were so friendly, we love our new friends in Hiroshima. Thank you to everyone who came to the gig the wellingtons love Hirosmima and hope to return.
